Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 18, has filed legal paperwork to adopt her mother Angelina Jolie’s last name instead of her father Brad Pitt’s. She wishes to be known as “Shiloh Jolie,” and the name change is expected to be approved soon.

This follows a family tradition, as her sisters Zahara and Vivienne have also occasionally dropped “Pitt” from their names. Vivienne, for example, goes by “Vivienne Jolie” in the musical The Outsiders. Zahara recently declared herself “Zahara Marley Jolie” when joining a sorority.

This change comes amidst ongoing legal battles between Angelina and Brad, including a joint custody agreement and disputes over their French winery. Allegations against Angelina regarding alienating the children from Brad have stirred public controversy, with some expressing concern about its impact on the kids. Despite this, Angelina remains dedicated to raising her children with the same kindness and open communication that her mother instilled in her.
