Brave firefighters rescue an unconscious dog from a fire and administer mouth-to-snout resuscitation, successfully bringing the pet back to life.

An owner-abandoned puppy was saved by a firefighter and sent to a shelter. Last week, a building complex in Santa Monica caught fire. When they arrived, firefighters found a dog named Nalu unconscious and barely even breathing.

Firefighter Andrew Klein told KABC, “I found him in the heat and smoke.

I reached out and discovered he was already gone “The speaker explained.

Before to putting the puppy in an oxygen mask, Klein performed “mouth-to-snout” CPR on him. Almost 20 minutes later, the dog started breathing on its own again. He became cognizant again and started to move. Then, neighbors picked him up and took him to an animal hospital nearby.

Nalu, a Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu mix, couldn’t be saved when owner Crystal Lamirande returned home to find her apartment on fire. KABC reports that although Lamirande reportedly lost everything in the fire, she has forged a new bond with her neighborhood fire department.

“That was fairly great,” Klein told KTLA. “I’ve gone on a number of animal rescues that didn’t turn out the way Nalu’s tale did. I’ve been involved in numerous similar animal rescues.

Without a doubt, his return was a success for the group as a whole and the department “Team members said.

In ten minutes, firefighters extinguished the fire without causing any injuries.
