I had to think for almost a minute before I came up with the solution.

ANSWER:
Given:

Papa + Mom = 66

Papa – Mom = 6

Step 1: Add the two lines

66 + 6 = 72

Now divide by 2:
72 ÷ 2 = 36 → That’s Papa’s age

Step 2: Subtract the two lines

66 – 6 = 60

Now divide by 2:
60 ÷ 2 = 30 → That’s Mom’s age

Answer:

Papa = 36 years old

Mom = 30 years old
