Pope Francis facing early stages of kidney failure

Pope Francis, 88, has been battling pneumonia and a complex lung infection for weeks, along with early-stage kidney failure. His condition remains critical, and he is hospitalized at Gemelli University Hospital in Rome.

Despite experiencing a respiratory crisis over the weekend, his condition is stable, and he is receiving oxygen.

Doctors say his recovery will take time, and his prognosis remains uncertain. The pope participated in a Holy Mass in his hospital apartment and thanked the global Catholic community for their prayers. He also shared appreciation for messages from children.

Pope Francis has led the Catholic Church since 2013, known for his humility and focus on social justice. We wish him strength and a smooth recovery.
