When James Corden took Paul McCartney on a nostalgic drive through Liverpool, fans knew it would be special—but no one expected tears, laughter, and an unforgettable surprise concert! From revisiting Penny Lane to sharing the heartbreaking story behind Let It Be, McCartney’s heartfelt revelations left Corden wiping away tears. The journey ended with an electrifying pub performance, proving once again why McCartney’s music is timeless.

James Corden previously shared that his favorite Carpool Karaoke episode was with Paul McCartney. In a recent interview with the Paley Center for Media, Corden revealed how challenging it was to keep McCartney from backing out.

While McCartney initially agreed to the segment, he later got cold feet and canceled, only to change his mind again weeks later. Just days before the shoot in Liverpool, McCartney once again hesitated, saying it wasn’t the right time but hoped to do it eventually.

Despite these setbacks, McCartney eventually went through with the segment, which became one of the most iconic episodes of the show.
