My sister abandoned her adopted daughter after having a bio son

My sister Erin adopted a daughter, Lily, two years ago, but when Erin had her biological son, Noah, she decided to abandon Lily. She claimed she didn’t need a daughter anymore, saying Lily was “just temporary.” Shocked and heartbroken, I confronted Erin, but she seemed indifferent. Soon after, Child Protective Services arrived, questioning Erin’s actions regarding Lily’s adoption.

Thanks to my lawyer, I found Lily in a foster home and fought for her custody. After a long process, I adopted Lily as my own. Despite the trauma, she’s thriving now, and I’m proud to be her mother. Lily turned six last week, and while she still struggles with some fears and nightmares, I’ll always be there for her. Erin’s decision will never define her – Lily is finally where she belongs: with me.
