Logan Gifford, 26, bravely shared his traumatic story to help others in similar situations. He wants a paternity test to determine if he is the father of his 15-year-old brother, a possibility suggested by his therapist. Despite his mother’s denial, she is willing to take the test.

If Logan is the father, the case will shift to custody; if not, it remains guardianship. Logan now has temporary guardianship of his brother, who receives a disability check.
He struggles with the idea that his brother might be the product of his abuse but believes his brother deserves a good life.

Their mother, Doreene Gifford, was released on parole last July but was arrested for violating parole by contacting a victim. She faces a hearing in April and is currently in custody.
